Seriously, Newgrounds top fifty has been overtaken by explosm, and I really don't think they're that great. For starts, all their videos are the same crappy animation style and quality, never improving/ And I'm fine with the same style, or even crappiness, but the fact that it never improves, and is always the same level of suck that bothers me. Look at the awesome series as my example. First, there's Metal gear awesome, which you can tell is by a new artist, one of his first few animations, just dicking around with flash and some audio he recorded. Then look at Metal gear awesome 2, where his skills have greatly improved, yet he keeps the same style, and even sort of manages to show the same "new artist" crappiness without actually being crappy.
Alright, then look at the brackenwood series. This is a series that prides itself on having really well drawn, hand drawn animations, which you can tell if you watch the latest in the series. But go back the the start, bitey of brackenwood, and it's completely different! you can watch Adam Phillips' art evolve and improve over time, and it's great. Yet you will never see that with any of this C&H shit, because they don't want to improve, they want to stay in their current quality. And I'm not talking quality like jagged edges, I'm talking stickmen. And if you read the comic C&H, you'll occasionally see some of the artists actual talent (I think It's matt who's good), but they'll never implement it into a video or anything because it isn't their style. That pisses me off.
